Auditions – Christmas Carol

This December, Birmingham Village Players will present the debut of An Evening With Charles Dickens and A Christmas Carol, a one-man acting tour-de-force of the classic holiday ghost story. In our adaptation, Charles Dickens is making is way through the United States on a national public reading tour, in which he reads his tale, acting out all of the well-known characters, including Scrooge, Bob Cratchit, Jacob Marley, all of holiday spirits, and even Tiny Tim!
100% of the proceeds will return to Birmingham Village Players as part of our ongoing fundraising efforts for future building improvements.

Rehearsals will begin immediately following casting and will be scheduled based on mutual availability.
Character Description
- Charles Dickens: Aged 45-65. Novelist and writer of A Christmas Carol, known to have toured America in the late 1800s, performing staged readings of his classic Christmas ghost story. Dickens will act out the dialogue for the Narrator and all characters within A Christmas Carol.
