Sponsor a Seat at Village Players

Birmingham Village Players is requesting your assistance to enhance the theatre experience by sponsoring a brand-new seat for only $250/seat. As a seat sponsor, your name (or the name of someone special) will be engraved on a donor tag and attached to the armrest of your sponsored seat, becoming a lasting part of our theatre’s legacy.

In Phase 1 of the project, all 138 stationary (fixed) seats will be replaced in July 2025. Phase 2 will follow with the reupholstering of our 68 stackable floor seats to ensure a comfortable seat and matching design.

How do I sponsor a specific seat?

You may sponsor a specific row and seat number by completing the Sponsor a Seat Sponsorship Form or by submitting your donation online by clicking here. Requests will be honored on a first-requested, first-reserved basis.

Will the seat(s) I sponsor become my seat(s) for the season?

No. This campaign is a sponsoring opportunity only and does not include tickets or seat assignments for the season or individual productions. You may request a specific row and seat to sponsor or allow BVP to select a seat for you. Specific seat requests will be honored on a first-requested, first-reserved basis.

Is my Sponsor a Seat donation tax-deductible?

Yes. Birmingham Village Players is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and all financial donations are tax-deductible.

Which seats are available for sponsorship?

Birmingham Village Players has a total of 206 seats in the theatre. In Phase 1 of the project, all 138 stationary (fixed) seats will be replaced in July 2025. Phase 2 will follow with the reupholstering of our 68 stackable floor seats (Rows A, B, C, D, E, J) to ensure a comfortable seat and matching design.

How do I submit my seat(s) donation?

Seat donations may be submitted as follows:

Visit the BVP Box Office (Tuesday – Saturday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.) to complete your sponsorship.
Complete this Sponsor a Seat Sponsorship Form and mail it to Birmingham Village Players with your payment.
Submit your donation online by clicking here.

If I sponsor two seats (or more), will the seats be next to each other?

Yes. We will ensure your seats and donor tags are next to each other.

What will the new seats look like?

The floorplan of the auditorium seats will remain the same. The new seats will consist of more comfortable seat cushions, grey overall casing, hardwood armrests, and donor tags. Please visit the BVP lobby to view the two-seat prototype display of the actual seats, or see the photo above.

What size are the donor tags?

Donor tags are 7/8″ x 2-1/2″ and will be affixed to the armrests of the seats. You may request up to two lines, 20 characters per line.

What will be engraved on the seat donor tag?

Each personalized donor tag has space for 2 lines with a maximum 20 characters per line (including spaces). You may choose what you would like on the donor tag provided it isn’t offensive or inappropriate. Sponsor names are not included on the plate by default.

Can I sponsor a seat without a donor tag?

Absolutely! You may contribute to the Sponsor a Seat campaign without requesting a seat donor tag.

When will the new seats be installed?

Our new seats will be installed in July 2025 and will be ready for Season 103!

What will happen to the old seats?

We are working to repurpose the old seats that are currently in the theatre. Some members have expressed interest in purchasing a few seats for personal use. If you are interested in purchasing some of the current seats, please contact seats@birminghamvillageplayers.com.
