VYT Summer Theatre Arts Camp

Join us for Disney’s Newsies Jr.

Disney’s Newsies JR. is a 60-minute version of the 2012 Broadway musical, based on the 1992 film. 

When powerful newspaper publishers raise prices at the newsboys’ expense, the charismatic Jack Kelly rallies newsies from across the city to strike against the unfair conditions. Together, the newsies learn that they are stronger united and create a movement to fight for what’s right.

Including the now-classic songs “Carrying the Banner,” “Seize the Day,” and “Santa Fe,” Newsies JR. is a timeless story full of spirit and heart.

Camp Registration opens January 11, 2025 and can be completed here.

Camp is open to rising third graders through rising tenth graders.

Summer Camp dates:

  • June 23 – July 18, 2025, no camp on July 4.
  • Monday through Friday
  • 9am until 3pm

Also take note that Beauty and the Beast Jr, which was originally planned for June 2024 has been postponed to June 2025.
