VYT Summer Theatre Arts Camp

As of January 19, 2023, our 2023 camp is filled. We are accepting registrations for our waitlist. You can compete the registration form and mail in without the registration check. If a spot opens up, we willl contact you.

Join us for our 16th summer of Musical Theatre Magic. Come experience the fun and excitement of musical theatre during VYT’s exciting four-week summer camp. Our campers learn acting, singing, dancing, and technical theatre skills in fun and interactive workshops, auditions, and performances. In addition to teaching performance skills, our professional theatre educators and teaching artists, led by the award-winning John W. Rutherford, encourage confidence and support teamwork.

Camp runs Monday through Friday from 9:00 until 3:00, Monday through Friday from June 26 – July 21. (Camp will not be in session on July 3 & 4 for the holiday.). Camp performances are on July 19 and 20 at 7:00 p.m. and July 20 at noon. Attendance at camp is required daily. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate multi-day absences. Camp is open to students who will be entering the third through eighth grades in the fall of the camp year.

This summer, our camp show is Finding Nemo, Jr. Camp tuition is $925 for the four-week session. A registration fee of $250 is due at the time of registration, and the remaining tuition balance of $675 is due by June 1, 2023. (VYT accepts checks payable to VYT or cash. We do not accept credit cards.) Registration and tuition fees are nonrefundable after June 1, 2023. Each camper receives two tickets to a performance. Additional tickets are $5 each.

To register for camp, please complete our linked registration form and mail it with your deposit of $250 to PO Box 172, Birmingham, MI 48012. Registration is limited, and our camp fills quickly. You will receive a registration email confirmation with enrollment forms to complete and send back by June 1. We will start a waitlist when registration becomes full.
